MWS was founded by two people, each with a different background and skill set.

Dr Stewart Gallocher has over 25 years’ experience in the UK nuclear industry. He has been Head of Profession for Civil/Structural Engineering and Chief Engineer at major engineering consultancies and undertakes expert witness work around the world.

Simon Bingham is the Executive Chairman of Caunton Engineering Ltd with over 20 years’ experience in the design, fabrication and erection of steel structures.

From early on in the development they have worked closely with Dr Amit H. Varma. Amit is the Karl H. Kettelhut Professor of Civil Engineering at the University of Purdue, Indiana and the leading US authority on the analysis and design of SC Modular Structures. He was Vice-Chairman of the AISC Technical Committee 12 which developed the SC Modular section of AISC-N690, the nuclear version of the US steelwork code.
